been finding a bunch of random stuff lately nothing too stellar. however i did find this finnish interesting arp/fender rhodes record locally. i'm curious how it even got here. definitely seek anything on the Love label...quality varies but the jazz and prog rock albums are quite good. wigwam.stc.cx/discography/ajatuslapsi.htmbummers you can't embed youtube on this message board. i'm thinking of overhauling it... but this youtube on esa is quite good (all in finnish) but he's playing around with different synths. youtube.com/watch?v=CwgaNpJQqVQ

Analog, quick q, is his entire album like the last song he played?? more melancholy "ambient(loose term)/atmospheric" sounding??? www.sonicstate.com/news/shownews.cfm?newsid=4284 <--- 20 greatest synths according to sonicstate.com! i think there's like 10 videos or so! semi-record related? and not really record finds, perse.. if anyones interested, if you want to skip out on shipping on cd's you cant find here, special order whatever you're looking for from borders, they bring it in with no extra cost, you can look check stock on thier site and they'll hold it for 14 days and you're not obligated pay any money or to even pick it up, the qwel cd was 13.99 before tax and after i think it came out a bit cheaper than if you were to order it from g4 direct (12 + shipping) and it came in about a week, so no worrying about it getting lost in the mail! i think this should kind of take the excuse factor out of a lot of people.

early morning garage finds. 25 cents each. even though we go exactly when these things start....the same guy always beats us there first! we never ask, but almost without fail, the sellers will say ..."yeah so and so was just here" Which makes me wonder what he collects. Last time he left behind a lot of rare hawaiian stuff. haul was so/so but very nice for $3.

you just have to check the newspapers for garage sales with albums, records, or lp's in the description. i usually only go to ones in my area because garage sales are extremely hit or miss. plus if you don't go right when they start, forget about finding anything good. besides my area, i usually have luck in kaimuki...but again, it's all about luck. there are stretches of time when there aren't any sales either..just gotta keep your eyes peeled. i was surprised about the donald byrd too...i forgot it was a mizell production. miss kane is the joint! don't sleep on fancy free either..it's a lot more mellow, recorded in 1969, but really nice. produced by duke pearson. Miss Kane
